Mastichari is a small, but fine Greek fishing village with soft tourism, but best infrastructure and great location (bus connections, ATM, bars, taverns, harbour with ferry connections). The big hotels are located directly on the outskirts of the village and are easy to reach.

Summers at Kos are always windy! The main wind directions are north (Meltemi) and west (Thermik). Mastachari Bay has perfect side or on shore conditions whenever there is north or west wind. This makes it the ideal place for teaching beginners and intermediate kite surfers.
